This hotel was built in the Norwegian "dragon" style over 100 years ago. It is situated 350 metres above the centre of Oslo, affording a unique view of the city and fjord. The oldest part of the hotel, dating back to 1894, is a worthy architectural sight, with its restaurant, meeting, lounge and banqueting facilities. The hotel is surrounded by fresh air, along with peace and quiet and is situated right next to the Holmenkollen Ski Arena and Nordmarka forest.

Holmenkollen Park Hotel Rica also has suites and an exclusive wing. This wing has a number of rooms and can be closed off from the rest of the hotel, as required. All the rooms are of a high standard. Many of them have distinctive furnishings, reflecting the old dragon style. There is also the unique view across the city and fjord and of the scenery around Oslo, providing its own peace and quiet. Wireless internet access, mini-bar, hair-dryer and pay-per-view TV come as standard in every room. The hotel's conference area is equipped with the latest technology to be able to meet the needs of both current and future conferences, meetings and symposiums. The main emphasis is on comfort and easy access in terms of light, ventilation and display. The hotel's auditorium has had booths permanently installed for providing simultaneous interpreting. There is also a separate administrative office available providing telephones, a fax, photocopier and PCs. "De Fem Stuer" is the hotel's acclaimed restaurant, where we provide our delicious lunch buffet and serve dinner on an à la carte basis. The restaurant is located in the hotel's "dragon building" and has a unique ambience, where guests can enjoy their meal in historical surroundings. In the "Galleriet" restaurant guests can dine in a relaxed, informal atmosphere before moving on to the hotel's bar, where the open fire is the natural attraction to this location.
