Built by the famous architect Eugène Jost in 1870, the hotel was completely renovated in the year 2003 and comprises 7 floors with a total of 140 rooms. There is one bar and a restaurant (brassiere style). During the summer months there are a restaurant and a bar on the panoramic terrace overlooking the lake and the mountains. Every weekend the hotel has life music on the terrace. The Grand Hotel Suisse-Majestic is the most centrally located hotel in Montreux, just a few minutes from the steamboat landing stage and only a few minutes on foot from the Montreux Music and Convention centre and the Shopping area.
