The hotel is located right next to Koggala beach near the Sri Lankan port of Galle, which is home to the UNESCO world heritage listed Dutch Fort and the Dutch Reform Church. Koggala is a small beach village with its own cultural centre in the form of the fascinating Museum of Folk, Art and Culture. Guests may enjoy taking a boat trip on the lagoon and Kogggala Lake to see the surrounding small islands, famous for their fantastic bird watching. Its proximity to the picturesque Lake Koggala means that guests have the opportunity of coming to the hotel by seaplane, which is a truly impressive experience. The hotel is located some 140 kilometres from Colombo International Airport (CMB). The train station is some 10 km away.The standard Rooms feature a super king 7 ft by 7 ft bed dressed in Egyptian cotton Frette linen and an open plan bathroom with twin headed shower and bath. These rooms open out onto their own private courtyard or garden balcony. In addition, all rooms offer a cutting-edge entertainment system, as well as designer fittings. Beach Rooms are located on the ground floor, and offer views out onto the gardens, beach and Indian Ocean beyond. The highlights on offer in these rooms include an open plan bathroom with large bath, rainfall shower and a split-level living area. Ocean Rooms are similar to the Beach Rooms, but are located on the upper floor of the hotel and feature high vaulted ceilings. Guests also have the added bliss of enjoying a bath in the Jacuzzi whilst taking in the magnificent views. Direct dial telephone, television and individually adjustable air conditioning all feature as standard.

Guests are met by resort staff at Koggala Airport. The seaplane comes direct from Colombo Airport. From Colombo Airport by car take the main road into Colombo and then the Galle Road heading south towards Koggala.
