This small yet comfortable hotel lies opposite Amsterdam's city zoo, ARTIS, in a pleasant green district of the old city centre. The Plantage district was originally laid out in the 17th century as gardens. It is a 15-minute walk to the main train station, Dam Square and Rembrandt Square were a diverse selection of bars, pubs and transport links are to be found. The old town is some 3 km wide, so may easily be explored on foot. It is 200 m to the nearest nightclub and a tram station is 400 m away. The Oosterpark lies 800 m away and it is approximately 25 km to the airport.Each of the welcoming rooms comes with an en suite bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer, cable TV, a small fridge, a radio, an Internet connection via W-LAN, a hire safe and a pantry (in the larger rooms). The heating is centrally controlled and double glazing and lightproof curtains ensure for a peaceful night's sleep.

From the airport: a train travels from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam central station. From central station: tram line 9. Exit at Artis zoo. This is called ""Plantage Kerklaan"" (seventh stop including central station). By car: take the east section of the Amsterdam city ring road (A10). Artis zoo is pictured on signs as a small black elephant. Take the exit for the S114 and follow the signs for the neighbouring zoo. From the city centre: follow the green Artis signs for tours of the city centre.
