This all-season luxury resort has been Whistler's landmark hotel since opening its doors in 1989 and was renovated in 2007. The hotel has 550 rooms spread over 12 floors. The architectural mandate was to 'infuse the charm and style of other Canadian chateaux built earlier in the century, into a modern structure'; it is appointed with rustic Canadian antique pieces representative of the country in its youth, which were collected throughout eastern Canada and the Maritimes. The grand décor brings the old and new together in a seamless meld of historical style and modern beauty.
